Find the answer to your question

How does an air-to-air heat pump work?

It transfers heat from the outdoor air to the indoor air using refrigerant and a compressor. Many models can also cool the home in summer. Check which operating modes your model supports.

How large an area can an air-to-air heat pump heat?

There is no single floor-area figure that suits every home. Insulation, layout, number of storeys and outdoor temperature all affect the result. Tell us which rooms you want to heat and what the building is like so the need can be assessed.

Do air-to-air heat pumps work below freezing?

Yes. Models designed for Nordic climates can provide heat even when it is cold outside. Capacity and permitted operating temperatures vary. Follow the model documentation and plan for supplementary heating when the building's demand exceeds the heat pump's capacity.

What do SCOP and SEER mean?

SCOP describes seasonal energy efficiency for heating, while SEER applies to cooling. Higher values indicate better efficiency under comparable test conditions. Actual electricity use is also affected by the building, climate, installation and how the heat pump is used.

Where does Kylslaget offer installation and service?

Our Coverage page includes a map for air-to-air installations. Provide your address and the service you need so we can confirm availability. Installation and service of hydronic heat pumps are currently available in Greater Stockholm. Our head office is in Vallentuna, with branches in Höör and Kungsbacka.

How do I book the right help for my heat pump?

On the Book & contact page, choose installation, maintenance or fault reporting according to your need. If you are unsure, call 020-19 18 00 on weekdays from 09:00 to 15:00. Have your address and the heat pump's brand and model available if possible.
