Troubleshooting & repairs

Air-to-air heat pump repairs

When your air-to-air heat pump does not work as it should, we help find the cause and assess the next step. We troubleshoot and repair several leading brands across a near-nationwide service area.

Report a fault

Common faults we troubleshoot

A heat pump that heats poorly may not have the same fault as one that stops completely. Technical troubleshooting identifies what needs attention and whether repairing the system is reasonable.

  • The heat pump heats or cools poorly.
  • The unit displays a fault code or stops.
  • The indoor unit leaks water, sounds unusual or has weak airflow.
  • The outdoor unit will not start or repeatedly ices up.
  • The fan, sensors, controls or other components need checking.

Start by describing the problem

Note when the fault occurs and whether it is constant or intermittent. Fault codes, model details and photos help us understand your enquiry and plan the right response.

  • Brand, model and preferably serial numbers for the indoor and outdoor units.
  • What happens and which settings you have tried.
  • Address and contact details.
  • Purchase date and order details if the matter may be covered by warranty.

From fault report to action

  1. Describe the fault in the form.

  2. Customer service reviews the matter and the conditions for troubleshooting.

  3. The technician examines the heat pump and assesses what action is needed.

  4. We proceed with repairs and spare parts as agreed.

Multiple brands and broad coverage

Kylslaget troubleshoots and repairs air-to-air heat pumps from several brands. We are a service partner for Panasonic, Innova and Daikin, and can also help with other brands where the assignment, expertise and spare-parts availability allow.

Always include the address and model. Customer service confirms whether we can provide on-site help and the conditions that apply to your enquiry.

Check this before reporting a fault

Settings, the remote control and dirty filters can affect operation. The self-help guide covers simple checks for users. Do not carry out your own work on electrical connections or the refrigerant system.

Questions & answers

Frequently asked questions

What faults can you help with?

We troubleshoot issues including lack of heat, fault codes, unusual noises and shutdowns. The cause may lie in the fan, sensors, controls or refrigerant system, for example. Troubleshooting determines what action is needed.

How much does a heat pump repair cost?

The cost depends on the fault, labour time and any spare parts. Provide the brand, model and symptoms in your fault report. Customer service will explain the troubleshooting charge and how any further work is handled.

Who repairs the heat pump?

Kylslaget has technicians who troubleshoot and repair air-to-air heat pumps from several brands. Describe your heat pump and the problem so we can confirm how we can help and whether spare parts need to be investigated.

Can you top up the refrigerant?

If the system is suspected of having too little refrigerant, the cause must be investigated by a qualified technician. Topping up alone does not solve a leak. We begin by assessing the fault and the appropriate action.

How do I know whether the heat pump is faulty?

First check the operating mode, temperature setting, remote control and filters using the self-help guide. Note any fault codes and whether the problem is recurring. If the heat pump still does not work correctly, we can help with an assessment and troubleshooting.

Does the warranty cover troubleshooting?

This must be assessed against your order, the warranty terms and the cause of the fault. Have the purchase date, order number and any service documentation available. Read the terms and contact customer service before booking a warranty matter.
